Fall Foliage Landscape Photography in New England (revised)
Fall Foliage Landscape Photography in New England (revised)
After traveling and photographing fall colors and running workshops throughout New England over the last 10 years, I put together my first guide for my 30 favorite locations in 2020. This new revised guide adds an additional 30 locations bringing the total to 60. They are split into 6 different regions that can each be done in 1-2 days depending on how aggressive you want to be. Working from north to south, you can do the whole schedule in a week or spread it out over the first three weeks of October. Routes are supplied connecting the locations that are mostly made up of small roads to provide you the real feel for New England. Each location is now linked to Google Maps. Estimated travel times are supplied and the routing is done to help you get to the location at the best time of day. I have also supplied information on techniques and equipment needed to help you get great images. The book is laid out in a very organized fashion:
Description of the location
GPS and/or address of the parking and the location
Trail information including length of time, difficulty, etc.
Best week in the fall to visit to catch peak colors
Best time of day
Optimal conditions/weather
Complete metadata for the accompanying images
Fall will soon be here so start planning your routes now with this comprehensive guide.
